If you follow us on social media (Twitter, Instagram) you might have seen us posting last week from the New York Fashion Week Panasonic Beauty Bar. We ran a manicure bar, led by our wonderful celebrity manicurist Gerry Holford, where we pampered and polished celebrities, socialites, editors, and bloggers. Putting it out there – it was a lot of fun! We got to meet a bunch of really lovely people, play with some products (when we weren’t on duty), and hang out for two days at one of the nicest salons in New York (Salon SCK – 1845 Broadway, just up from Columbus Circle).
Gerry and the team were polishing using Bondi New York polishes, and the celebs were enamoured. Kelly Rutherford and Kelly Bensimon both got Horny Mistress, the inimitable red, and Kelly Rutherford liked it so much we sent her home with the bottle. Same goes for Dascha Polanco – she picked Midnight Mystery and was very grateful when told she could keep it for touch ups. Only one person over the two days picked Yellow Brick Road, the ridiculously bright yellow, and that was Angela Simmons. Holy heck, it looked goooood on her. That girl should always wear yellow polish.
