How does it work? You start your journey to becoming a Maven by taking Julep’s style profile quiz, and they base what is in your box on your answers. You get emailed a preview of the box’s contents on the 20th of the month. You can either decide you’re happy and the box will ship, or you can change your colors, send the box to a friend, or just skip a month. Boxes are shipped and Mavens are charged on the 27th of each month.

How does it work? Right now it’s invitation only, but once your membership is approved you just give them your details and decide if you want a monthly, quarterly, or yearly membership. You can cancel at any time – super easy.

What do you get? Think of it as Netflix for nails – you rent three luxury polishes every month. And we mean it when we say this is high end polishes only – think Chanel, Dior, Dolce&Gabbana, Nars, Deborah Lippmann.
How does it work? To be let into this secret club, you first need to request an invite. You jump online and add your favorites to your lust list. Lacquerous will then send you out 3 designer lacquers. Plot twist: the 3 lacquers are sent with pre-paid return packaging. Once they receive your returned package, you get another parcel of goodies.

CULT COSMETICS BLACKBOX

What do you get? Oh so much! When you sign up you for the 6 or 12 month sub, you get the starter kit of top coat, base coat, and strengthener. Then you get two limited edition exclusive shades every month, as well as additional perks and discounts, and access to members only sales and products. This one is for the the die-hard.
How does it work? For the ongoing monthly service you get charged every month and can cancel any time. For the 6 and 12 month subs, you pay upfront, making it a great gift. Here’s the catch…it’s for Australians only. Gutted.

BONDI NEW YORK
The new kid

What do you get? Three full sized Bondi New York polishes. Sweet.
How does it work? The service launches on the first of August, so register now on the website to reserve your spot. They have excellent customer service, so you can open a chat window on their site and speak directly to them.
How much? $19.99/month.
Bondi New York no longer has a subscription program. The company cancelled it after only one month. Many customers are still awaiting refunds.
You are correct, thanks for flagging that. We have spoken to Bondi New York and understand what they are going through to get all the customers their refunds – sounds like there were a lot of issues with paypal and the other financial providers!
