Everyone has done it, tried a nail polish color and decided it doesn’t look good with their nail shape, length or even skin tone. That’s where we want to help, we have come up with a list of nail looks and colors that will suit your nail length! Last week we showed you a few looks for shorter nails, and today we are focusing on longer nails, that’s right ladies with talons today we are writing for you!
Red!
While red looks good on pretty much all nail lengths and shapes, it is after all a universal color, there’s something amazing about a long, perfectly filed and shaped red manicure. It just oozes class and gives the impression that you have got your s**t together! A few classic reds include Marc Jacobs ‘Poison Apple’ and Ciate London ‘Mistress’.
Cool-toned Darks
Cooler toned dark polishes look oh so good on longer nails. We’re talking charcoal, navy, black vibes. They don’t have to look gothic depending on the shade and the shape of your nails. Square or Squoval long nails in these dark colors look just gorgeous! We love Sephora Formula X ‘Orbit’, Burberry ‘Graphite No.201’ and Formula X ‘NaYeon’.
Brights!
We know that last week we said that bright nails can look a bit much on longer nails, but some brighter colors need to be in your face, which is why they look amazing on longer nails! Our favorites include Nails Inc ‘Portobello Terrace’, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics ‘Cha Cha’ and Julep Color Treat ‘London’. Sponged together for a watercolor rainbow nail art manicure these would look awesome.
Glitter Nail Art
We love glitter. And yes, we do go on and on about it, but come on, glitter nail art looks amazing! Whether you are talented enough to do glitter placement or are just doing gradient nails there’s something about glitter nail art that just makes our hearts sing. Longer nails allow for more space to work with, which is why glitter nail art looks great on longer nails.
